From nurturing young minds to embracing and empowering differences in each child: The inspiring journey of Mrs. Noorjehan Kabeer, a visionary educator and social entrepreneur.
Mrs. Noorjehan Kabeer’s passion for education began in 1994 when she started her career as a kindergarten teacher in Kerala. This passion soon blossomed into a mission to create inclusive spaces for all children. In 1995, she opened her first preschool and creche in Kerala, followed by The Play House, an inclusive preschool in Qatar in 2000. Recognizing the need for specialized support, she established the Noor Center for Special Needs in Qatar in 2020.
Driven by her unwavering commitment and with her roots deep in kerala, Mrs. Noorjehan Kabeer transformed The Play House Kindergarten into Padashala Center for Special Needs in Kochi in 2020. In 2024, she expanded her vision by opening Padashala center for special needs in Alappuzha.

This is an excellent school… would recommend for special kids. Teachers are too good. The care and support given by them are beyond words. I have never seen such a dedicated and committed teachers. It is the second year of my son in this school. He has immensely improved and it is all because of the honest effort put by the Padashala teachers. My son has been attending therapy sessions at Padasala for 1 year. I am grateful to be a part of Padasla for my son's therapy. My son receives support from Padasala as he has speech delay as well as some sensory issues. The therapists in Padasala did a thorough assessment on my son and set goals accordingly. I was able to see significant changes in him within a short span of time. The Therapists come up with ideas that is perfect for my son and they treat him so well.
